Disney Area Weather & Climate

The Heart, or approximate geographic center of Florida, surrounding the Orlando area, is situated 50 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and 75 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. One of the region's main attractions is the near perfect year-round weather. Mid-Florida's subtropical climate is warm and humid during the summertime with almost daily thundershowers.
